It was A-Maze-ing

Cousin Rita came to visit this weekend. On Saturday afternoon we set off to find some pumpkins and a corn maze to explore. Kurt has been wanting to go to a corn maze since last year. Kurt and Erich had fun directing us through the maze.

Erich used his "psychic" powers to help him choose which direction to go in the maze.

At the end of the maze was a graveyard. Erich used one of this karate blocks to keep safe.

We took a wagon ride out to the field to pick our pumpkins. The search for the perfect pumpkin was grueling.

We'll be working on our costumes this week - look out for an old man and a caveman. I just need to find a cane and a wooly mammoth.

A weekend in the sand

We spent Columbus Day weekend camping at Assateague. The whole family, including Max, went and the weather was beautiful. We spent lots of time at the beach (both in and out of the ocean), took a short hike, saw some wildlife and beautiful scenery. Bob cooked up some great food over the campfire. Fun was had by all.

Here are a few pictures of our trip.

Warm sand is very therapeutic for old dogs.
