Karate

Both Erich and Kurt earned promotions recently in karate; Erich got his red stripe and Kurt got his blue belt. Here they are:

Spelling Bee Results

Kurt did well in the spelling bee. He came in 4th in his school (#1 and # 2 were 5th graders and his good friend Ky'Oanna came in 3rd). The 4th graders were fantastic; some 5th graders got out before any of the 4th graders.

Number Six

Erich turned six yesterday and managed to rebound from his virus to celebrate, although he asked for a smaller piece of cake than usual.

The Drama King

I guess I'm used Kurt's stoicism; a word definitely not in Erich's vocabulary. Erich had a virus this week; I'm sure he was not feeling well since he did not talk constantly for once.

Spell It

Kurt's been working hard on his spelling this year. Last week he got a special spelling award as he has not gotten even one (including the bonus words) word wrong on his spelling tests this year. This week he found qualified for the school spelling bee. (Last year he refused to be in it and this year he is excited to be in it - quite a change in attitude).
